The new, upper-level Tiguan SEL R-Line Turbo trim ups the ante with a total of 268 horsepower, a welcome addition by any means. The standard transmission is an 8-speed automatic, which is smooth and easy to operate. When choosing a drivetrain, we recommend all-wheel drive for improved handling.

Head-up displays are becoming more popular and are an available option in the 2026 Tiguan. If you like mood lighting, the ambient lighting option is available, as is a power liftgate.
2026 VW Tiguan Redesign: Tech
The 2026 Tiguan promises to be one of the most techy VW models to date. The base infotainment system is 12.9” and the driver info center is a 10.3” display. Want more from the infotainment system? Good news: there’s a 15” option available. There’s also a 12-speaker Harmon-Kardon sound system available for the audiophiles out there. As an added bonus, all trims benefit from wireless charging and multiple USB charging ports.
